How to get copies of court documents and filings. First, start by searching mycase.in.gov. Some types of court documents and filings are available there at no cost. If the document you're looking for isn't available online, you'll need to contact the clerk's office in the county where the case is being heard. The clerk's office can advise you on how to get a copy of the document.

Online payments may be made for (1) traffic tickets in some Indiana courts and (2) criminal fees in Lake County Circuit & Superior Courts. This feature will be made available in more courts for more cases in the future. Only court fees and fines may be paid online. Restitution and interest payments cannot be made online at this time.

There are a total of 92 of these courts throughout the county. The circuit courts have unlimited jurisdiction in most cases unless another court is given jurisdiction over the court for any reason.
